Dr. Nerissa Price, MD
Dr. Price is a Wake County native who received her medical degree and completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She is Board certified in General Psychiatry.
Having devoted her career to improving the health of the mentally ill, Dr. Price brings over 18 years of experience to Price Psychiatry from her work with UNC School of Medicine, Daymark Recovery Services, Correctional Institute for Women with the NC Department of Public Safety, Cardinal Innovations, Community Care of NC (CCNC) and WakeMed.
Dr. Price is passionate about helping others achieve their life’s purpose by maintaining mental health wellness. Through various health care settings, Dr. Price understands that medications are only a part of good mental health care and that a holistic treatment strategy must be developed and coordinated with providers in primary care, as well as alternative and complementary medicine. To this end, she established Price Psychiatry, PLLC in 2019 to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and affordable behavioral health care for adults. She plans to see children as well in the near future.
